I’m JoeSixPackTech.
I’m not a geek and I don’t want to be a geek.
I want consumer electronics to be simple and useful and reliable like my refrigerator.
Instead, so many cool-sounding products and services fall way too short of the marketing hype.
I get frustrated when precious time and money is wasted trying to figure out how to make something work that is meant to make my life easier and more efficient.
So this is a rant: I’ll use this space to vent frustration and point out bright spots I find in the technology world.

Hi,
I just wanted to thank you for posting your pix of the Producers Guild of America conference viral video session on flickr. I’m the brother of one of the eepybird guys (the taller balder one — not the one in your pix). I’ve been following what he been up to from thousands of miles away (San Francisco) but it was nice to see pictures.
My suprprise came when I was going through the slide show of your pix and the next one up was the Horton Bay Parade. My wifes parent live less than 1 mile from the general store. I love that event. I didn’t go in 2006 but was there in 2005 ( the theme was graduation — perhaps you saw my handout of useful phrases for college graduates). Anyway that serendipitous connection prompted me to write and say hi and thanks
