Several newswires and blogs are reporting the departure of Microsoft executive Vic Gundotra who will be joining Google. In most situations when an “evangelist” leaves to join a chief competitor it is a pretty serious sign that the vision thing is messed up or is going to undergo a serious correction. Factor in Vista’s repeated delays and Bill Gate’s recent “step back” announcement and I am wondering how bad things really are?
